Your Ideal Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution According to the Astrological Sign

This comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense excitement across the fandom. From the one-by-one unveiling of fresh additions ahead of the title's release, to trainers developing firm views on the entire lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for fans to anticipate.

With many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique designs that emphasize their traits, one thought naturally: How can connect this with zodiac signs? The following is inspired by a blend of intuition, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.

Aries – Mega Camerupt

Honestly, Houndoom was almost chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. But, a Mega Houndoom appears as always furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being fun, cheerful, and impulsive. This makes Aries far more akin to Super Camerupt, which only erupts when angered. Stay on the good side of either and enjoy a powerful ally; if you cross them, prepare to get burned.

Taurus – Super Heracross

Similar to a loyal Taurus, the steadfast Heracross species, both in its regular and Mega form, has assisted many players in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, each the Pokémon and a Bull are still battle-oriented, and – be it their companion or a firm belief – will defend their position unwaveringly. What about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unabashed passion for snacks. Many previous Pokédex entries note their craving for sweet sap and how it uses its appendage to collect it everything, which is pure Taurus energy.

The Twins – Mega Medicham

Look at this total queen. You cannot tell me this Pokémon is not the life of any gathering, offering an endless fountain of chatter to anyone who wants to listen. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's very easy to imagine Super Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their tales. This Pokémon's official description also mentions its capacity to foresee an opponent's future actions, which seems very similar to a people-smart Twins.

The Crab – Super Manectric

The Crab is widely regarded as the most sensitive sign of the zodiac, a passionate sign famous for often getting wrapped up in their feelings. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution fills the creature with a “tremendous quantity of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to fully manage,” which sounds a lot like a classic Cancer emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also recognized for its capability to make a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is going to do, it’s spoil their own parade.

The Lion – Mega Starmie

Oh, did you think I was going to pick the lion Pokémon for the lion of the zodiac? Aside from the reality that it would be far too obvious, The Lion is clearly Super Starmie, the star whose gams just became an internet sensation for being too glamorous (or horrifying, based on your taste). Players couldn’t look away from the violet starfish, and that’s exactly the same energy a Leo offers to the table. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting signals from its red core out into space, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a performance, even if for extraterrestrials.

The Maiden – Super Victreebel

The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant acid reflux. The sign known for being endearingly judgmental is clearly reflected throughout this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a always surprised expression like a Maiden when you inform them you don’t have a 401(k), to its upside-down face that’s just like the symbol a Virgo posts to the group chat when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than creating a strategy.

Libra – Super Audino

Observe this gentle, empathetic creature, who uses the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how people are emotionally by their pulse. Always empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and striving to keep the peace, there are numerous Scales who would probably benefit from Super Audino's abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would probably just make them worry more about others.

The Scorpion – Mega Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly tragic backstory: Abandoned as a toy, it became consciousness through sheer resentment and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the official info, Super Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That seems precisely like many conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpion friends. A Scorpion adores cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal pair with Mega Banette.

Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly staging a show. As a Sagittarius personally, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “silly little entertainer” is countless. The showiest and most attention-seeking Super Form, its description even notes how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Archer match I can imagine.

Capricorn – Super Absol

Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the ability to foresee disasters in advance? That gives the identical energy as a Capricorn, who tends to consistently believe they’re right. The thing is, much like a prophetic Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very initial Super Form that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to get in on the beginning of the Mega trend.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Detached air sign Water Bearer is possibly the non-fire placement that is most like a flame symbol – its sister sign is Leo, and there are countless jokes about the Archer and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices. Super Chandelure's dual Ghost/Fire category fits seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s overall daunting presence is also extremely Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Mega’s description says it “draws in hatred and transforms it into power.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
